Vodacom online, IPhone 8 contract of 36 months with R199 monthly with a dead battery

Good day, I would briefly like to state that I was ****med by Vodacom online, I ordered an IPhone 8 on September 2022 and when the package arrived I plugged in on a charger as usual, until I realize fear hours later that the device battery is not getting fully charged, from then I've been trying to get help from Vodacom but there's no success, I've been paying for a contract phone that in not using because the battery is dead, I need assistance please
