Vodacom One Number Issues

After purchasing an Apple watch with eSim capability at the end of September 2024 I contacted Vodacom for assistance to connect the Apple watch to my IPhone Sim on their One Number offering. Vodacom advised me to go to a Vodacom store for assistance with setting up the One Number facility.

After three visits to the Vodacom store (twice to Village Mall and once to Cresta) and scores of phone calls to Vodacom support it is now the end of the first week of November 2024 and I have had no success with the setup of the One Number facility. It is clear that the staff are not trained on the One Number offering and that the steps advertised to enable the One Number is not correct for Apple users.

After being a customer of Vodacom since 1996 it seems like the only option open to me is to migrate to MTN where they seem to have better support for their customers for the eSim functionality.
