Vodacom One Number and Apple Watch -Issues

So I got a new apple watch. I had a previous apple watch with one number installed. On my way out of Woodlands mall, i walked passed Vodacom. I asked a consultant at the door if I need them to set up my one number on the new apple watch. First she said no, and then she said yes, I must walk with her. She said she has to delete my one number on her side before I set up the new watch. She then deleted it and when I tried to set it up on my my new watch. It only gave me an option to deactivate.

I tried numerous times to deactivate the One Number via the portal and every time it gives an error on the Vodacom portal, “Oops! We’re experiencing a technical issue.” Needless to say, I have spoken to multiple agents at Vodacom and visited the Vodacom store at Irene. Every agent adds and removes an eSim, which is not correct as I cannot scan a QR code, and none are actually addressing the problem. It seems that my old One Number remains active on their system and no one can remove it in order for a new one to be linked.

The Vodacom store logged a support ticket with their technical support to remove all One Numbers linked to my profile, but after more than 14 days, this ticket is yet to be touched by any technical staff member.

So I phoned again today and the Vodacom agent says this one number issue has been there for months and she does not know when they will fix it. So what? My only option is to change service providers. Been a customer of Vodacom for 20 years and spend at least R8k per month with them.

I find this situation to be absurd.
