VODACOM - ONCE BITTEN TWICE SHY

I went into a Vodacom store to find out when my Contract expired and was due for an upgrade. I was told that it was expiring, and could upgrade then, which I did. I chose a slightly cheaper package, as I did not require what was on my current package. I received the invoice, and am being billed for two handsets, when I phoned Vodacom, they said it is because the handset on the contract which I upgraded had not expired, and I will be billed for it until such time as it expires. I was NOT informed of this when I did the upgrade. The agent who spoke to me on the phone when I phoned in querying my bill, told me that I must query this with the store. As far as I am concerned, the store represents Vodacom, and Vodacom should sort this out, and not put the onus on the customer to sort out. As far as I am concerned, the contract was sold to me on false pretences, due to the fact that I was not informed that I would be billed for two handsets. Unfortunately, I have signed a further contract for two years, however, I have no been burnt by Vodacom, so will definitely not enter into further contracts with them in the future, and will advise my friends to beware of Vodacom contracts in the future.
