VODACOM OFFERS ON UPGRADES NOT EXPLAINED CORRECTLY
I've been a Vodacom customers for over 15 years and had many cellphone contracts during that period. On 27 November 2020 one of their agents contacted me to advise that I was eligible for an upgrade on one of my contracts. Their offer was UChoose 550 contract for 24 months and a R1 000 voucher that would be SMS'd to me and I could choose to use it at Pick 'n Pay or Woolworths. Contract accepted and my UChoose 550 started on 1 December 2020. I waited pateinetly for the voucher phoning at intervals to see whether I had misunderstood the agent, and each time I was told that I should just wait for it. Then late December the agent that I spoke to advised me that the voucher would be sent 1 January. Yesterday 5 January still nothing, so another phone call made to them. This particular agent told me to wait until 7 January for the new billing cycle to start. I am waiting for tomorrow 7 January Vodacom! By the way, your call centres are so busy most of the time, that one can hold for about 15 minutes with no response and sometimes the call just gets dropped. I am not very happy with this latest offer, as I could have gone to Makro who often have good deals, got a new phone and received a shopping voucher in the vicinity of R3500 to R4500. I might just exercise my "cooling off rights" on this one and cancel the contract.
