Vodacom OBF assessment taking far too long

On 7 November 2018 I opened a contract with vodacom and received an LG G7 phone. I noticed there was a problem with the phone when I tried to use the camera. The camera wouldn't work and the phone would shut down or be slow for a while afterwards. I handed the phone back to Vodacom on 10 November 2018 within the "Out of box failure" period. I was told that it would take 5 working days or 7 calendar days to assess the phone. It has now been 8 working days and 11 calendar days and I have not had any update. I have tried calling Vodacom and LG to find out when my phone will be fixed or replaced. I have been told I will get feedback later this week but I feel that as Vodacom is taking longer than promised to assess the phone I think that the phone should be replaced immediately.
