Vodacom number was recycled and now I can't access Whatsapp and all my messages are being rooted to someone else

I am out of the country at the moment and whatsApp is the only App I am using currently to stay in touch with my children and loved one's. Yesterday I experienced problems with my WhatsApp application, I couldn't access my messages. I send an email to Vodacom client services to query my problem. They advised that Vodacom recycled my number. I send an email via instragram to 1 of my children and they advise some lady advised that she bought a phone 3 days ago and vodacom supp**** my vodacom number to her ***. I don't know what to do cause no I can't get hold of my children or loved one's. And all my messages are routing to her now.
