Vodacom now trampling the 'little guy'
have been a loyal Vodacom user for many years and never had any real problems. Until now. Ever since the new regulations has been implemented Cellphone Companies are losing money and they are trying to make up for it by trying to fool us, the users. Go look at your bills from around April. Are you suddenly paying for things you don't even know what it is? When I upgraded last year in October, I cancelled my cellphone insurance at Vodacom because my car and home insurance already includes my phone. I also cancelled my 1 Gig a month on that day. I buy data as I need it. Everything was going well until I got a huge shock on 1 April when Vodacom debited almost DOUBLE my due amount from my bank account and when I contacted them, they said 'sorry, there was a mistake and they will rectify it'. I fought and threatened and STILL had to wait 3 weeks for my money back! After this my account went up with over R250. I looked at my bills after that and found that not only did they restart my insurance without my knowledge, they also put back the 1 Gig per month AND where I used to have a CIB Discount, suddenly I was paying an amount of R177.69 for it. I also got a C3D Bulk Credit Note for the amount of R141.23. The guy at the call centre couldn't explain this to me and said they would look into it. This was in May and AGAIN the same amount was debited.
I am sick and tired of companies like this getting away with *****ing our money and getting away with it, so I am sharing this in hope that others with the same problem will comment on my post and share it too. Maybe if we get enough people to join this 'fight' something WILL be done.
