Vodacom not willing to cancel my contract despite giving them a month's notice

I called Vodacom's cancellation department on on two different occasions to cancel my 2 year data contract coming to an end on the 5th of April. On all occasions I was advised that it was cancelled only to have them debit my account again.

Concerned I spoke to Mohamed Sheik who advised me that it was not cancelled. How is this fair - forcing to continue with a contract I no longer want and yet I gave my 30 day notice period.

This for me is disturbing and can someone please see to it that my contract is cancelled yesterday. To the Vodacom customers, please note that it will be a nightmare to cancel your contract with them one day. You will have to fight.

Thank you
