Vodacom not updating their system

A Year has passed and my Hauwei 8 lite cellphone decided to give me some troubles. I decided today to go to Vodaworld in Midrand and see what can be done to have it fixed. After waiting for almost an hour, i get to a service technician, Rhusani, who started all the discssions with me. 10 minutes into the discussion, i am told that my details are not updated into their system, such as the purchase date of my handset. This handset is an upgrade on my existing contract. im not sure how this plays a part in having a hadset that cannot be booked in unless i bring in the proof of purchase. I turned my house upside doown looking for such a receipt and cannot find it.

So now my probelm begins, why was that piece of info not updated on the syystem when i did the upgrade in 2015? The upgrade was done in a vodacom store in sandton city. As this is not updated, this phone cannot be booked in for repair....

My question now is, where to from here. Do i continue paying for a phone/contract that cannot be repaired/corrected?

I approached Vodacom, in hope they would be able to book in my phone. Fortunately, this time, the agent was able to book the phone in. However, Vodacom now states I need to pay in R1900 to have the phone repaired even though it is still under warrenty with them!!!!!
