Vodacom not Receiving OTP sms from PayPal

For whatever reason Vodacom users are no longer able to receive SMS's, with an OTP, from PayPal. This issue has persisted for over a month and seemingly no one has the answer to how it started, when it started, or when the issue will be resolved. Other cellphone providers don't seem to have this issue as my mother, who uses MTN, has no trouble receiving SMSs from PayPal. The best thing to do is contact PayPal, 00 1 ***, directly and ask them to disable 2-factor authentication for the time being. They'll need the email and card number that is connected to the PayPal account. One agent even suggested switching mobile service providers altogether. As someone who has been with Vodacom for +15 years their customer support was surprisingly unhelpful
