Vodacom not honouring advertised pricing

Dear Vodacom. I do the effort of actually trying your online upgrade function after I have always, for the past 19 years of having my same number with Vodacom, used the stores to do my upgrades. Guess what, your system does not work!!

On the 7th of June I log onto your website and find a deal I like. I get the reference number P260TU with a message I will be contacted within 24 hours. I eventually get contacted the next week Monday only with a helpful person by the name Jerome stating that I can upgrade my contract as requested at a fee of R1250pm... here is the problem.... The website advertised the Huawei Mate10 Pro + once off date of 10 Gig + Huawei Smart Watch 2... all for R999. I even went back on the 11 of June to make a screen shot of this deal. After I followed up with Jerome again on the 18th of June he stated Vodacom made an error and they fixed the website. He asked if I had made a screenshot of the deal and I said yes. I subsequently sent the proof to ********** on Jerome's request for them to take it up with management.

After an up and down battle I had to phone back again today, the 19th of June 2018 and get feedback from Jerome that Management declined the request and stated this was a mistake from their side. I insisted to speak to one of their managers and was transferred to a man, no idea what his name is as he did not even introduce himself, who just went on the fact that the website has a disclaimer that stated Vodacom can change the offering at any time. I agree to this, but If I have signed up on a deal on the website, I feel Vodacom should be honouring this offer. The fact that Vodacom made a mistake is not my problem. I signed up for a deal and that should be honoured.

If a retail stores incorrectly marks some item and you get to the till and the price is different, they give it to you on that price - standard practice.

I am sorry Vodacom. I have been a loyal customer since 1999 and I have always had some form of contract at any point in time. My Vodacom bill runs close to R2000 every month as I have a second line with you as well.

I really urge Vodacom management to look at my complaint and relook this as I don't want any handouts here, just want the original offer as it was advertised on the official Vodacom Website for the Mate10pro + Huawei Watch2... you can even leave the data as I have Wifi at home.

Looking forward to hear from you on this matter.
