Vodacom not honoring deals

I saw a great upgrade deal online on the 7th November . I placed the order , and was sent a confirmation SMS . I have an order tracking number and an order number . So after waiting for 7 days , i called in to check the status of the order , and was told that the order had been cancelled ??? . No prior phone calls , just " your order has been cancelled " . So now while i have been waiting for the phone , i have missed out on other great deal that have now expired . Surely Vodacom must honor a deal placed . Just as i am bound to Vodacom when signing a contract , they should step up and get me the agreed upon handset , or come up with a better handset . Shame on you Vodacom - come on , do what is right

Lets me sum up how Vodacom resolves a problem :
(1) Get an arrogant service representative to call me up and inform me that Vodacom is not responsible for valid orders being cancelled , due to a handset selling out - Zero understanding and compassion . Note that i have a confirmed order with a order number . The CPA has addresses this to prevent ************ mega company's such as Vodacom using " BAIT ADVERTISING " , where they have a few handsets but they embark on an advertising campaign in order to drive traffic to their site
(2) Gloss over the fact i had to call in after 7 days of waiting for a phone , only for the salesperson to inform me that my order was cancelled - Zero customer service
(3) Refuse to offer me some sort of deal due to their negligence
(4) From the call , it was inferred that if i want the handset i ordered , and the fact that it was discontinued at Vodacom , i would have to go elsewhere if i wanted that phone . So what i came away with after a hostile service call , is that i should take my business elsewhere . Big corporation arrogance - What will it cost them to lose a customer of 15 years - Zero
