Vodacom not cancelling contracts after several attempts.
I've been trying for 8 months to get my vodacom contract cancelled, finally after many attempts I was told that the contract will come to an end on 31 October 2024. This did not happen as I received an sms that I'm owing them almost R5000. Why is there such a reluctance from Vodacom to cancel contracts. They are *****ing money on a daily basis

11 Mar 2025, 08:03So someone did contact me yesterday, I wasn't available and they spoke to my wife. She indicated that I would phone back and asked if we could use the number that was called from ***, my wife was told no and that this person would send a sms with the contact number I could use this morning at 07:00. Needless to say I didn't receive this sms. So yesterday I phoned your cancellation line ***, just to receive a sms that state "You are eligible to upgrade on 20226-02-22 and your contract period ends on 2027-02-02", the question now is who upgraded the 2 lines, what happened to the handsets as I definitely didn't upgrade nor did I receive handsets.
Having said all of this, yet vodacom is saying 1 thing but doing the exact opposite of that, with this in mind and advise received on these 2 matters, going forward all correspondence need to be via written format either email, sms or whatsup.
