Vodacom not cancelling contract that has run its course!

We have been struggling to cancel a contract since NOVEMBER 2018. This is truely unacceptable. Every time you speak to someone they just transfer you. We even went in to a Vodacom shop and the manager helping us laughed saying not even they are able to help. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? Please see a comprehensive timeline below and please sort this out Vodacom!

Timeline:

• 14 November 2018 I phoned to chance my account to a pre-paid account. I explained the deal from FNB. I spoke to Veronica Baloi who offered me a better deal. I asked that this contract be emailed to me. Never done. • 1 December I when on the Vodacom app just to see 0 minutes and 0 SMS’s. I went to Vodacom in Brooklyn to enquire about this. I was told that this lady sold me an airtime deal that is not close to the contract I had. I was also told that because of my prior involvement with Vodacom, that this lady was actually not allowed to sell me this contract. I was told that because it was done telephonically that Vodacom Brooklyn cannot assist me. • I phoned in on 1 Dec Spoke to Lebo and she told me my only option was to migrate that would cost me a lot of money. • On 10 Dec I spoke to Cindy who called me back to advise me to wait until after Christmas and the ask for collection of the device that I received. Nobody can reverse the contract if I was in position of the new device. • On 28 Dec I spoke to Bongi requesting the collection of the device. • On 7 Jan Mpho could not help me yet. • On 8 Jan I received a phone call for collection at Ballito after I made it very clear that I was only there for a week holiday. • Spoke to Mphumi and Dudu NO help • On 26 Jan I spoke to Tswanelo to tell her I stopped my debit order so Vodacom realized that I was serious. She put me on hold until line was cut. • On 6 Feb. Nhlantla promised that Veronica will phone me the next day to cancel contract. • On 7 Feb. Masilo promised to give Nhlantla the message that Veronica did not phone me back. • On 7 Feb. Veronica, after my enquiry, phoned me and promised speedy cancellation. • On 13 Feb. I received an electronic phone call asking when payment shall be done. • On 13 Feb. Lidia promised that she will send Veronica an email because she already left. • On 14 Feb. Mnogonolo also promised to follow up with Veronica. • On 18 Feb. I spoke to Nomsa, Zentle (aftersales) Ntombi (cancellation) who also promised to give Veronica a message. • On 19 Feb. Keitometso promised to send a courier again to collect the device. • On 21 Feb. the device was collected. • On 4 March Collen promised to send email to make phone number pre-paid. • On 8 March at cancellation put me through to Zanele at the account department. Also spoke to Dumisani at account department • On 13 March I spoke to Bothlale and Gugu at After Sales. She told me that they had to reverse the contract before it can be cancelled. She told me that reversal has been done. • Since then it has been a joke. I have not recorded every conversation since then but have spoken to Lesego at Upgrade, who told me that they have upgraded me to the previous contract. • Since I have not given any consent to this and definitely did not receive a new device, as should, when you upgrade this was ridiculous. • Since then I spoke to Banele. • On 10 April to Muzi and Zanele that promised to send emails again.

• I spoke to Jarrit and Zanele and many more. • Since then I have been on candid camera because when I phone, they put me through from sales, to upgrade, to accounts, to legal department and every time I am told “I “do not deal with this, you should speak to the following department. • I am really disappointment with Vodacom and after more than 25 years all I ask is to leave me alone. Any background check will show you that I have never missed any payments and that I have been a loyal client of Vodacom • I even logged a dispute with Illana at the legal department, after I was transferred again from Nonhlantlha • Dispute nr: 1# ********** ********** • Now I am told that this is not valid since my contract only ended in March. • Please go back and see the new contact that I did not sign up for. • This has become an absolute ridiculous case. • Last person I dealt with in one of the stores told me they have similar cases. • Vodacom must wake up and look after their *********** employers and loyal clients
