Vodacom not canceling the contracts.
To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Vodacom is a ****, they don't cancel the contracts to keep milking money from the customer. In March I contacted vodacom because I needed a laptop. I had a contact with them for a laptop which ended and I needed a new one. I was told that I do not qualify for that. I only qualify for cell phone or tablet upgrade. I then asked for my contracts that were ending in April to be canceled. The lady I spoke to, told me that it will only be done end of April after my last payment. Which made sense to me. I was under the impression that the contract is canceled. Last payment was on 15 April 2023. In May and June nothing happened, only for them to debit the amount of R1722. 48 to be debited in July. I called vodacom on 17 July for the contracts to be canceled and the money refunded. I was sent from pillar to post. At the end the lady I spoke to, told me that she has escalated my matter and the investigation will take 14 days. On 3rd of August when I called again, I couldn't get any answers. On the 7th that's when I was told there's a charge for August and the account can not be closed until the money is paid. On 15 August they debited R542. 40. When I called I was promised that the matter will be investigated. I never got the outcome of those investigations. I wrote countless emails and Vodacom did not bother to respond. I only got the automated acknowledgement responses. Vodacom has taught its consultants to frustrate customers by not canceling contracts so that they can keep *******ly making money from them. I requested that they refund me all the money that they debited after April as I gave notice a month earlier. I can not be held at ransom while I did my part. The *********** or the ****ming ways of their employees should not affect me. Their bad service really left a bad taste in my mouth.
