Vodacom not adhering to own policy
After struggling to put a PTP in place, and finally managing it, our phones remain soft locked even though Vodacom's own payment arrangement policy states: What is a payment arrangement? This is an agreement that gives you more time and flexibility to pay any outstanding balances. Vodacom offers two options:
• Promise to pay: You choose a future date to pay the outstanding amount, and your services remain active until then. • Debit order resubmission: Vodacom attempts to debit your account again on a new date chosen by you. Both options help you stay connected without needing to make manual payments.
Can the soft lock please be lifted until the agreed date of 29 May as per the valid PTP that is in place.

27 May 2026, 17:19It seems as though Vodacom is just set on waiting out until the PTP date instead of resolving the issue. No consultant has reached out and phones are still soft locked despite Vodacom's own payment arrangement policy.

28 May 2026, 09:46And STILL no communication from Vodacom????? Not adhering to their own policies and not adhering to their own supposed principle of TCF. So the next step would then be ICASA and CGSO.
