Vodacom not accepting liability for wrong info
I was advised by two Vodacom staff members that I qualifiyed for a premature upgrade based on an average spend of over R800 .When I was put through to the upgrade department they advised me that I do not in fact qualify as this amount was changed to R1200 pm .I told them this is not my problem because wrong information was given to me by two staff members already and that now I have suffered an injury and this injury is now Vodacoms liability.I sent a complaint through to the customer service who informed me that it would be sent to the regional offices in Western Cape for further investigations.I was not given any feedback by the regional offices and had to follow up on this matter myself.Vodacom had the audacity after full knowing that I was given wrong information by two of they staff members to tell me that they cant do anything because the system wont allow it.Well if the system wont allow it do it manually or just send me a new handset, after they were informed I suffered an injury simple as that .I am done now with Vodacom ,I am now taking this to ICASA and will seek legal advice to see if I have grounds for civil action .
