Vodacom Non-Existent service
We have been with Vodacom for 22+ years. I have never experienced anything like I have these past few years. And just as soon as I think that it can’t get worse, it gets worse. The service is absolutely appalling or rather, non-existent. 1* Got an online Tablet from Vodacom last year, they sent me a tablet without a simcard, although I get charged for it every month. When I phoned, they said they would send it, but I never received it. Eventually they tell me to go to any Vodacom outlet to do a sim swop. I do not have the time as I am at work @ 6:15am and get home @ 18:30 Monday to Friday, and weekends I do my home c****s. 2* A few years ago I signed up for Vodacom Fibre. Everything was good, no problems until we moved property just over 2 years ago. We struggled to get our current fibre moved to our rental unit. Although the complex was not fibre ready, we got no help from Vodacom. They kept on sending someone via Vumatel to come and install the router etc. They couldn’t, there was no infrastructure. Eventually Vumatel got someone to contact us to help with the infrastructure. Within weeks, the complex was Fibre ready. Trying to get Vodacom to get the installation done was very frustrating. Eventually after a year +, we got somewhere. We received a router with a ****le to see us through until the installation was completed, setup was complete and we were happy. Earlier this year, we had no connection. I contacted Vodacom who then sent Vumatel, whereby our Vumatel router had to be replaced. We could still use the Vodacom ****le as it was advised by Vodacom that we could do that. On 6 Oct 2025, we come back from a weekend away, and there’s no connection. We put in the ****le, and it works. The next 2 weeks is absolutely hectic work wise, so the 1st opportunity I have to contact Vodacom is Sat 19 Oct 2025. I am then told that we no longer have Fibre as it was cancelled earlier this year. The person could not tell me who had cancelled the fibre. I had to phone during office hours to find that out. By this point I am beyond it. I work in a medical practice, there is absolutely no time during the day to try and find this out. I start finding an alternative provider. In the meantime, I am paying R599pm for a 50/50 Fibre line I signed up for originally, only to be told that this price is for the LTE??? I requested the LTE be cancelled, since it is not what I wanted. I am too tired to fight with Vodacom more than this. I don’t have the energy. As far as I know, I signed a one year contract, which means they are in breach of it. I still don’t know who or why?!
