VODACOM - NO LONGER LOYAL TO THEIR CUSTOMERS !!!!!!!

My husband has a phone that is still underWarranty with Vodacom. It woke up with a problem one day whilst still on Warranty. He took it in for repairs. Vodacom took more that 8 weeks with the phone and when they came back they advised that the phone had a battery problem. We needed to accept a quotation to replace the battery which is R706.75. On their jobcard, they advised that they have done a Software upgrade, which we are always advised that it is a free service for Vodacom Customers. The battery they said it is R344.96.

Apparently the phone is still not working. It keeps on asking us to do a Software upgrade. The same problem that we booked it in for is the same problem that the phone still has. Why did we have to pay money when the phone was still on Warranty. After all if we had paid and the phone was working, this was not going to be a big problem.

Please urgently advise us on what we should do because this is not fair on your clients. I am not even sure if our own battery that they said we must replace was not working anymore.

Why did they keep the phone for approximately 8 weeks when it was only the battery problem.
