Vodacom nightmare
Once again vodacom stores have the worst service. It never seems to end with the *********** staff we are forced to deal with. On the 9th of July 2021 I visited the Pavilion branch to have a change if ownership done as my Dad passed away in June. I was then told at that branch they do not do transfer of ownership and I need to send documents to the deceased department. After I had done that the very same day I received an email to visit my nearest branch to have it done. I then went to the vodacom at musgrave centre. I was assisted by Jeremy who made it seem like he knew what he was doing. Little did I know this was going to turn into a nightmare. He took copies of all the documents and said transfer of ownership is done in branch and does not know why we were advised otherwise. He asked me to wait until I got a response from the deceased department. I then went back on the Saturday. He said he will be doing an application and it will take between 7 days to get back to me. I phoned the store after the looting that took place only then he advised me it was declined. He says he received a response in an hour on that Saturday I visited the store. Which I found weird. I accepted and asked what do we do from here. They said the only option was to cancel the contract. The deceased department had got back to me to say they never recieved an application. I told Jeremy and his manager, Nishana and they both insisted the 6 people I has spoken to from the call centre and the person I was liaising with from deceased is wrong and they are correct. The next weekend I went to the vodacom store at Gateway as I was told by someone they are much more clued up. They were. I received the best service from that store by far. The nice lady advised me that there is an error in the system and the musgrave store is actually not willing to assist because it needs to be sent to acquisitions. She also said I would have to wait 90 days to do a new application because I had just done one. I went back to the musgrave store the day to tell them what needed to be done only to find out that they sneakily sent it through witgout advising me. The manager hid in the back office sending another staff member to relay the message. My sister was running back and forth with me. I sent her to the store to follow up as someone by the name of Kristin said she will assist. Today is August 06th, Kristin now advises Jeremy and his manager actually messed up everything. Sent documents through to wrong departments and a whole new application has to be done. I do not have a fully functioning phone. I had to get another phone which was an inconvenience. I still have no idea what is going on. Who is going to assist ? I am sick of Vodacom. They are the most unhelpful. Who do I talk to? No one is willing to assist.
