Vodacom Nicolway: lazy staff, don't have a clue

Some time back I got an SMS informing me that my cellphone insurance was to be increased to R149per month. I checked with my insurance broker and found that if I added my cellphone to All Risks the premium was only R52 per month. I arranged to have this activated 1 May 2021. Two weeks ago I went to Vodacom at Nicolway Centre to cancel my cellphone insurance effective 1 May. They made me fill in a form and said the insurance would be cancelled with immediate effect. When I told the Vodacom employee I only wanted it cancelled effective 1 May, I was told they could only cancel with immediate effect. They suggested I take the form home, scan it, then email it on 1 May. Today I called Vodacom Customer service (after a similarly disastrous and totally inefficient encounter with Vodacom Sandton City) only to be told there is a number I can call to have the insurance cancelled! The number is ***. Why are customers not told this, and why are the staff not aware of this?

Reviewer Update
Dear Vodacom,

This morning I completed the required form and scanned and emailed it to *** which is the email address given on the form. It was 'bounced' with the following message:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: FW: Insurance cancellation ***
Sent: 03/05/2021 09:12
The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:
'***' on 03/05/2021 09:12
Server error: '501 <'***'>: malformed address: '> may not follow <'***'

I also tried to call ***, but was put on hold for an inordinately long time. I am a healthcare professional, and cannot stay on the the phone forever.

I have followed all instructions to the letter, to no avail. Please advise how I can cancel my inordinately expensive phone insurance with immediate effect!
