Vodacom - New Phone Faulty and pathetic customer service
I have recently upgraded my contract and within the first 7 days the speaker of the phone (Samsung A52) stopped working ie I am unable to hear when people call me. Unfortunately by the time I could get off work and take the phone back to the store it was around 10 days (warranty to exchange for new phone is 7 days). So I was asked to take the phone in to Vodacom Fourways for repairs. It is now 7 working days (which was the mandatory waiting period) and I am still being told that Vodacom are waiting for spares for the phone. My issue is the following:
• Why is a brand new phone taking longer than 7 days to get parts • Why do I still have to pay for a phone that is sitting at their repairs department through no fault of my own. • Why is there no customer feedback when VODACOM are clearly not the leading cellular organisation in this country and should be striving to gain supreme status by upping their game with clientele. • Why despite the countless complaints online of Vodacom – do they still not revert to customers? Are we not important enough.
I have had Vodacom contracts for over 15 years now and would really like to know whether I am supporting an organisation that actually cares about customer service or do they think that they are too big to be troubled by non-famous customers.
Your standard (automated) comment above is noted however, I have still not heard from your consultant. Called the Fourways branch today and had to deal with another rude consultant. Sent this email response in but do not anticipate a response as you clearly don't care about your reputation.
- Keep the communication going as I am not physic and do not know what is going on at your store.
- As a common courtesy at least offer me a replacement phone (this should have been done when you initially realised you had no spares)
- Replace the phone as I find it unacceptable that customers should be disadvantaged because you cannot anticipate these issues with the manufacturers.
