Vodacom never ceases to disappoint

I am writing this review with absolute disappointment. After trying from 13 July 2019 to January 2020 to transfer a contract from business to personal, I finally decided to return the cellphone to my previous employer since vodacom had not been helpful. Only to receive an email with an invoice for R1582.42 for the screen repairs. The cellphone is fully insured but the email states that the sim card was not used in conjunction with the cellphone. That is true and I do not deny that. But I had to get a second sim card so that I can be reachable while the transfer was in progress. Now I owe R1582.42 to vodacom, which doesn't make sence to me. How was I expected to use the sim card and the cellphone together when Vodacom was not cooperating in transferring the cellphone contract. The purpose of the transfer was so that I could keep the cellphone and the number. To avoid being charged or sued by my previous employer, I could not use the sim card since the transfer was not completed and the contract belonged to my previous employer. What did vodacom expect me to do if they were the one who would not complete the transfer? Did vodacom expect me to use minutes and data that belong to my employer? Did vodacom expect me to buy a cellphone to use untill the contract transfer is complete? I am sitting here with an invoice I cannot afford just because vodacom would not transfer the contract. Paying a monthly installment is cheaper than the invoice I just received. What am I supposed to do now?
