VODACOM NELIGENCE

I obtained a new Cellphone Contract with Vodacom4u by Kolonnade on Sunday the 22/10/2017 for a Samsung Galaxly Note 8. I purchased a screen protector and back cover protector worth R798.00 which was app**** before I left the store as I just adored my new phone and by all costs the phone perfection had to be preserved. Not to mention that upon leaving the store that Sunday my sim was not fully active until +- three days later, but that was just the start of bad things to come. After only being able to use my phone for approximately 2-3 days I noted that the battery is not lasting as well as it should and depletes quickly, which was unusual. Upon investigation it come to light that there could be a problem with the battery for which I took the phone back to Vodacom4u in the Kolonnade where I obtained the contract and the phone. I was advised to have it sent to the repair centre for investigation and that all the contents of box is be surrendered to Vodacom, in order for the phone to be sent in for the OBF / out of box failure assessment. An individual (names are on record) then removed my newly purchased screen protector from the phone which cannot be re-app**** and removed the body glove back cover. Only after the removal of the screen protector did he then tell me that the screen protector will not be replaced by the store and it is at my own loss. I disapproved of his impulsive action without consulting me prior on this matter and only then did the manager agree that my screen protector would be replaced at the price I paid of R399 should I receive a new phone or my phone is returned. The phone was given in on Thursday evening the 26/10/2017 to Vodacom4u in Kolonnade. The documentation was completed and the phone as well as the contents of the phone's box was thoroughly checked. There was NO damage, scratches, misuse to the phone nor missing contents in the box and the box was in perfect condition with its cover as received four days prior as noted on documentation. The phone was not sent until Monday the 30th/10/2017 despite being handed in 26/10/2017 which came to my attention after I followed up in store on Tuesday the 31/10/2017. I was called by A individual (names are on record) on Wednesday the 1st/11/2017 whereby it was confirmed the phone had now been escalated to the Advanced repair center and was advised that this usually does indicate there is a problem with the phone. Monday the 6/11/2017 I was contacted to collect my phone via sms by Vodacom4u Kolonnade as my phone was rejected. Upon arrival I was given the phone out of broken box it had been torn, the phone was so dirty and FULL of finger prints which looked liked someone touched it with make-up'ed hands and to TOP IT ALL the still sealed and wrapped expensive earphones belonging to the phone were missing from the box. This is not all, I Received the phone back with a small but deep scratch that your nail catches on, on the top of the phone on the screen. This is Totally Unacceptable!! I am disgusted that I had a brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 which costs approx R18,999.00 without interest in more than a excellent condition given back to me DAMAGED!! without earphones which are missing as well as a torn box that I will have to be sellotaped together as well as the lack of decency to return the phone in a clean state it was received. To really add insult to injury I was told that I will get a screen protector at the value of R299 whereby Vodacom is now profiting another extra R100 from my original purchase of R399 by offering me the lesser cost for a screen protector. My Utter Most disgust is that I did'nt even damage the phone, Vodacom repair / advanced repair centre did and Vodacom currently takes NO responsibility for their negligence. When I requested that I receive a new phone Vodacom's area manager point blank refused and I was just told it must be sent back to the repair center for investigation which will take another 3 - 7 working days. WHAT INVESTIGATION?? Vodacom INFLICTED damaged to my BRAND NEW undamaged out the box phone that I have to pay in total +- R 1,200.00 per month over the next two years for not to mention without earphones or neat packaging. Needless to say I am still sitting once again without my once newly purchased Samsung Galaxy Note 8 now in total for 15 days running but have to pay Vodacom. It is unheard of that a customer must be happy with a Brand new purchased product that the Store/Franchise/Company damaged and caused loss whereby the customer is NOT compensated!! It is by far THE worst Customer service ever received with currently NO Immediate feedback nor Customer compensation or attempt for full Customer Satisfaction. Truly Disappointed!
