Vodacom Needs to be Seriously Regulated as they dont care about customers!

Menlyn Vodacom is the worst place to go and this is where all went wrong for me - Two years ago I explicitly asked the sales person after waiting very long to make sure NO MORE than the contract price is subtracted from my bank account and that I will top up if need be. In the two years following my 20Gig data was more than enough and I never ran out. In the last month of the contract period I called Vodacom to cancel the contract and was convinced by the telesales person to rather downgrade it as a back-up 5Gig per month. I again explicitly asked if I can just then finish whatever is left of my last month 20Gig and wont get nasty surprises - the telesales person confirmed this. Now two weeks later I get a notification from my bank that R7100 rand has been debited by Vodacom!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will fight this tooth and nail My questions is What caliber Sales Person do Vodacom employ? Any credit agreement must comply with FAIS Regulation and a contract must be explained to a customer so they are aware of what they are signing for. How could that Sales lady at Menlyn get me to sign for something I didn't ask for. I ALWAYS PUT A LIMIT ON ANY CELLPHONE AGREEMENTS AND APPARENTLY IT WAS NOWHERE ON THIS FORM SO SHE ASSURED ME IT WONT HAPPEN? Then the Telesales lady had the opportunity to explain to me after I pointed out that it must only be the monthly amount that must be debited and she said yes that is correct!!!! I will do what I have to and now considering going to the FAIS Ombud about this. ICASA gazetted Regulation in April 2018 about this very matter on data usage - Consumer protection is foremost - how do you justify taking this amount of money without the account holder consent!!!? I have a very clear credit record and if this is going to tarnish my future credit record I will also have to take to take this to the level it has to be taken
