Vodacom need to get their facts straight

When will Android Lollipop be available for the Samsung Note 3?? I have been to the vodacom shop at lakeside mall countless times and all that the staff do is pull up their shoulders and say that they don't know. How can they not know when the versions of software will be available for the products that they work with everyday?? My phone was upgraded from android jelly bean to android kitkat 4.4.2 in February of 2014. There has never been any upgrades available after that to version 4.4.4. So my question is when will the upgrades be released to upgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4 and then to lollipop??? The versions of software is released from the manufacturers to the carriers and then they are responsible to get it to the consumers? Am i correct?? The phone is seriously lacking in performance in all areas and i want to know when it will be available as i am not happy paying for such an expensive phone, all while battling with old software and lack of feedback.
