VODACOM Nasty neglect

Vodacom called to sell me a WiFi data deal. It was accepted by me but the device was never delivered. In the meantime I wanted a top-up package deal for my daughter. It was blocked by this WiFi hanging fell-through deal. Now it is already 3-weeks later and I still cannot get VODACOM to cancell the WiFi. Their mistake and I get punished. The RAM tracking site showed the device was returned to VODACOM. I still did not get a reference number for the cancellation. I was told it is already cancelled but just not removed from the system which the Vodacom IT department has to do?????? Twice it was promised that the reference number will be sent via SMS which never came. Today I was told that I cannot receive a reference number because the Vodacom IT department has not acknowledge receipt of the cancellation. One deception after the other, one lie after the other. What is going on. If I was nasty or throwing toys with any of the Vodacom staff I would not bother writing this message. Now I have been polite and patient and still gets treated the way I do. The other nasty thing discovered is that all customer care e-mail addresses have been removed by Vodacom - the message read "Please note, that in line with Vodacom's aim to respond to customers' queries quicker, we have temporarily replaced the email function." Then I tried using the online chat option just to discover that it was also removed with message "Hello, The ‘Click to chat’ service is currently unavailable. " The only means to contact vodacom is now on the 082111 which I have tried all along. Hence, obviously there is now no other means for me of getting to the bottom of this. What else can I do? Rather move on to another service provider? Probably what Vodacom wants - seemingly they do not care about small fry customers like me. I regard this as ouright nasty and a complete don't care attitude from Vodacom. I moved away from MTN due to the exact same reason and was happy with Vodacom until now. Is this where our country's communication services are going to - too rich and big to care about little fish? Is it not the little fish that brings a big chunk in for their billions of revenue every year? Apparently not.

Still waiting for the Vodacom consultant to contact me.
In the meantime I went to Vodaworld today (40Km) to sort this matter. What shall I find on arrival? The cancellation was done after the Hellopeter review was sent. Thanks Hellopeter. After re-submission of the Top-up package contract we found that another problem existed - the porting of an MTN number to Vodacom never went through as was promised on 18th July by the Vodacom Shop in East Rand Mall. This created a new blocking matter since the Top-up contract has to be build upon this ported number. Now I have to return again (40Km) to complete the contract after the re-initiation of the porting was launched again. At least there was a move into the right direction with this whole issue. However, the consultant who will contact me (if it is going to materialise I must add) should provide an acceptable and valid reason for this whole matter. I have been a loyal and good customer in all aspects and did not deserve such treatment. Why was the WiFi device never delivered - Vodacom should sack RAM couriers. Vodacom should enquire why RAM never delivered and relay this to the customer. Vodacom should have returned to me with an explanation and offered another chance for that deal. It did not happen and Vodacom chose a nasty route. Why was the number never ported from MTN to Vodacom. Vodacom should sack that Vodacom shop in East Rand Mall as one of their franchises for poor service and *********** service, or at least address them and perhaps provide better training to such franchises.
Hope the porting materialises soon (and that it actually does materialise) and I hope that a consultant will provide proper and legit/valid answeres to all the following questions...
1) why this whole matter was allowed to be born in the first place?
2) why nobody wanted to assist and why I never received a reference number?
3) why I was deceived by so many of the Vodacom consultants - do they get trained to deceive?
4) why RAM never delivered the package
5) why the cancellation never was sent to the correct departments within Vodacom - if one can believe the initial reason that was portrayed?
6) Why the cancellation could not have been performed by the "After Sales" consultants?
7) Why Vodacom IT department climbed on the struggle-bus in this matter?
8) Why I never received a reference number for any of my enquiries and cancellations and complaints?
9) Why each and every consultant had to ask someone else for assistance - are they not trained properly or was there a bad-mouthed message written which forced them to ask for assistance?
10) Why all the NORMAL communication channels have been terminated - what is Vodacom hiding by removal of these comms methods? Is an e-mail too much of a legal document in their eyes? Is a chat line too much of a direct exposure? Is the 082111 recorded line only for the benefit of Vodacom with manipulation of the recordings when a dispute arises between Vodacom and customers? Or what is the reason?
