Vodacom must be the worst company when it comes to customer service.

To whom it may concern.

I need IMMEDIATE assistance

Myself and my wife has been with Vodacom for a couple of years now and regret every single one of them now. We have moved out of South Africa for about 4 years now and even despite of that decided to keep our Vodacom contracts open for the once a year trip we make back home until we returned home this July 2017 and for some reason our normal debit order that goes off didn't and we had to pay the amount of R 3020.00 and happily did so at the Vodacom 4U shop in the Vaal Mall to get our sim cards reconnected.

The money was then deducted from my account and new sim cards was issued and we were told to wait for 24 - 48 hours for the new sim cards to be connected and so we did. Later came 2 days, 3 days, 4 days and still no connection so we went back to ask why, where again we were issued with 2 new sim cards with the same instruction and we followed again.

After waiting another 3 days we got really fed up without service as you can imagine as we are only in the country for 4 weeks and does not have any connections to contact the people around us and i went in to the Vodacom shop across the Vaal Mall where I was helped by Mr. Lerm to get us connected and he tried his best to help us by sending numerous emails and calls to different people and department to try and get us connected. Needless to say the whole month went past and we left SA still not being connected at all. At this time we were completely fed up and don't want anything to do with this ******* and requested that our contracts been terminated and never to hear of this ridiculous service provider ever again and Mr. Lerm called a higher authority to do so and completely agreed that this is unacceptable and our contracts are to be terminated. We then left the country with the hopes to never see or hear from Vodacom again.

We are now a few months along the line and numerous amounts have been deducted from our accounts by Vodacom with the last successful one being R 1089.88 on the 1st of September 2017 and then another attempt on the 2nd of October 2017 of R 1866.87 that was sent back and was not successful. Now due to all of this my wife (which is the account holder) will most probably have a bad credit name for not paying, and is not responsible for paying this account because we requested to stop it due to utterly poor service by Vodacom. Now I am not a unreasonable man and accepted everything that we owed and did everything according to the book and even accepted that if our contracts were to be terminated that I would pay all fees due but due to circumstances I want all of our accounts terminated and without any fees and also request all of the money that was payed by us in the attempts to get reconnected reimbursed and also all fees taken after that by Vodacom.

We have been loyal customer for years and even when we left the country still stayed with you just for that few weeks we returned so we can be connected. This is a utter disgrace that a company as yourself do business like this. We live in a time where things like this with the technology and help behind it should not allow error like this and should have been resolved an a very short amount of time.

I would then also just like to thank Mr. Lerm at Vodacom Vanderbijlpark for his excellent service and i think it is a shame that a brilliant service man like himself that tried everything in his ability to help us is backed by a pathetic company as yourself. If it wasn't for him and his help i would have lost my cool a bunch of times in the store.

I really hope that someone replies and resolves this problem and not just ignore and take their piece of the cut as you have been doing for the last couple of months. I will also be sending this complaint to the hellopeter.com site and to as many complaint assistance bodies as possible until someone responds.
