Vodacom Mooirivier Mall Potchefstroom

I would seriously consider giving extra training in client service and efficiency to the staff at Vodacom in Mooirivier Mall, Potchefstroom. The previous complaint was about the same shop that I am now extremely upset at.

About 3 weeks ago I had to do a sim swap on my mom's phone, as she had to move over to a less complicated phone. I had written permission from my mom to do this on her behalf. I was asked to wait 24 hours before switching on the phone, which I did. When I tried thereafter to make a call, it just said "emergency calls only" and "sim could not be registered".

I went to the Vodacom shop yesterday, and was told that they could see on the system that I requested the sim swap, but it did not go through. Vodacom has to call my mom to speak to her and confirm the transaction. I do not know on what number Vodacom is supposed to call her, seeing that her sim card does not work. I told the assistant that my mom is 85 years old, at the beginning of dementia, and she would not be sure of what is going on. I stormed out of the shop.

My mom's phone is the only way for her to keep in touch with the few friends and family members that she remembers, but now she is lost. I cannot describe my frustration and anger towards Vodacom.

The solution offered by the branch is no solution at all. Now I must get a power of attorney to say that I am handling by mom's affairs??? Really. I was in the shop to do the sim swap - I have never encountered any problems. So someone did not do their job correctly, and I must go get a power of attorney? On my personal account I have 6 different contracts, and my husband 4. We are done with Vodacom.

You still hold me accountable for the mess that the store made. If they did their jobs in the first place, none of this would have happened. Vodacom is the biggest cellphone company in SA - well done. But the worst with service. Thanks.
