Vodacom - Monopolistic Attitude

Vodashop Tygervalley refused to accept the return of an overpriced charger, still in original packaging. I then was offered some assistance by "Kurt" who was to phone me back after he got "permission" from head office. Five unreturned calls later, still not resolved. Vodacom seem to believe that they don't have to conform to the consumer protection act, even though their website explicitly states their return policy. I have complained directly on the Vodacom customer care line, no joy. Perhaps this monopolistic attitude is firmly embedded in their culture.

Reviewer Update
After two patient weeks, numerous phone calls, emails to Vodacom Customer Care ( Don't Care) and promises to elevate this to the responsible Regional Manager this issue has not yet been resolved. Vodacom seem intent on destroying what little goodwill they have left for the princely sum of R640.00! We have done everything according to their Terms and Conditions of refund, but to no avail. They seem to also absolve themselves from the Consumer Protection Act.
