Vodacom missed and corrected payment reporting to credit bureau

Hello.

I have taken up a SIM Only contract with Vodacom in October 2025 and has been kept up to date since, except a bounced debit order end of March which once aware of I made a manual same-day payment by the 17th of April 2026.

To my surprise my credit bureau profile reflected a missed payment for the month of March on the 15th and has been since. Clearly this was remedied within reasonable time and Vodacom could have notified me of the intention to list me to the credit bureau considering I have been a good payer. I have tried to contact Vodacom and consults informed me that the system automatically lists you soon as a debit order bounces.

Clearly this is inconsiderate and borders on customer gaslighting as it leaves a long impact on the consumer’s profile rendering them high risk.

How can I resolve this issue as Vodacom would not listen to my request for removal from credit bureau listing and expunging of the records considering I remedied the missed payment way before the next payment cycle?
