Vodacom Misrepresenting their Contracts

Definitely taking this up with the NCC. Please do yourself a favour and DO NOT take out a contract with Vodacom. I had a prepaid vodacom sim for 15 years and decided to get a contract Sim. I got 1 with the P30 lite only to find out that Vodacom disables the dual sim functionality and the Sim does not include caller ID. Whilst I fully understand the implications of the Cavaet Subscriptor rule, the aforementioned forms part of the ‘unexpected terms’ defence within Contract Law. Vodacom's hidden terms are irregular and therefore should have been highlighted before purchase as you would expect to have dual functionality on a phone widely known for same and further to know who is calling you - a standard simcard feature (which I have been told can be purchased after the fact from Vodacom). If this cannot be rectified I will have to pursue this further as this is unconscionable as I am stuck with a defective product for 2 years.
