Vodacom Misleads Customers

In the history of my existence, this is the most appalling and misleading business practice I have ever gotten from a cellphone network service provider.

Long story short, I had taken up a 2 year contact with Vodacom for a 20GB Mobile Router. The contract expired and Vodacom but they continued to debit me (I find that to be fowl business conduct. Yes, the contract states that the customer should call in 30 days before the contract end date to cancel but it still leaves the customer with a sore taste in the mouth). Even if the engagement with the ISP was great from the first day but this will be a lasting memory that the customer will hold on to.

Anyway, I called in for a cancellation (which was a hassle to cancel) and I was told that data was already provisioned for the elapsed 25th month, and that I could still understand. But what I really found disgusting is that I was debited twice as much as my normal debit and the backing reason for this is that my contract as come to an end. I "apparently" agreed to a discounted rate at the inspection of the contract. This discount is now revoked because if the cancellation. Now my question is, why would I subscribe to a discounted rate that I will later pay for? Secondly, why is this ISP try to keep people hostage in these contract agreements? I NEED ANSWERS!!!
