Vodacom misleading and disappointing Customers

It really saddens me firstly, being a loyal customer to Vodacom for the past 20 years, that I have to resort to social media regarding my recent experiences with the service provider. My data contract came to an end on the 1st of May 2020, my initial thoughts were to cancel the contract due to the ups and downs I have been going through with them. When I called, I was advised that I could not instantly cancel as the billing process has already started for the month, so I was told that I would need to call at the end of May to initiate a cancellation. When I called on the 2nd of June 2020, I spoke to a lady in the retentions department named Shaylene, who proposed a very interesting deal, 120gigs data only monthly on my current number for an amount of R456. Being that the deal sounded good I agreed and accepted. When I received a bill at the end of the month, it showed that I was billed for a device as well which I did not recieve and which was not part of the agreement. I've called on multiple occasions trying to find out the reason for this, but I was requested to call one department after another, no one could explain why I was charged for a handset I did not recieve or agree to. One person even told me that the charge was for the handset I currently have, which has been paid off several years ago. Immediately I cancelled the debit order and started to make manual payments, a month later I eventually spoke to a lady named Nonhlanhla, who confirmed as per previous notes that I did not agree to a handset and the contract was just for data, she escalated the issue, of which I recieved no feedback to, till today. In July I called through and a lady confirmed my bill to be R430 as I wanted to make a payment, she advised me that the issue was resolved. For the month of August I recieved a bill which amounted to over a R1000, I called and used the self help option which confirmed that my bill was R480 for the month of August, I have it on SMS. This is a hugh concern and disappoint to me being that we are now experiencing very tough economic times as a country and Vodocom places no emphasis on client retention, client relationship and high expectations as one of the leading service providers. I am so confused on what to do as the call centers provide no assistance, speaking to a higher authority when calling is ignored as they are uncontactable due to the Covid circumstances and I now regret renewing my Data contract with them as it seems that they mislead customers and dont show any concern or remorse about it. I would appreciate urgent rectification of this issue before taking this to other social media platforms. My contract number ***
