Vodacom mislead me during a telephonic upgrade

I have recently been contacted by Vodacom for un upcoming package/contract upgrade. The lady indicated that I could do an upgrade with her, telephonically.

During the process she indicated that unfortunately I will not be able to upgrade my package with a new cell phone. This was because there are no iPhones available in the entire South Africa due to a specific part that is currently not available for smartphones world wide. According to her this arrangement was indefinitely.

In addition she told me that should I upgrade now, without a new phone, I would not be able to get a new phone on the new package/contract for at least 3 months. Well, seeing that there are no phones available country wide for an indefinite period of time, I accepted the condition.

The following week, I visited the iStore in Menlyn, Pretoria. I jokingly enquired about the phone shortage issue in South Africa, only to be informed that the apparent shortage is nothing but a lie. In the store I had a choice of any iPhone I wanted!!

This obviously upset me. I contacted Vodacom whom then indicated that I had a phone upgrade condition that prevented me from getting a new phone for 3 months.

I then requested the matter to be escalated and investigated because Vodacom blatantly **** to me and intentionally misled me. I was then informed that I had to request a cancellation of the initial package/contract upgrade. This had to be done within 14 days or it would not be possible to be done. This, I was also not informed on but I luckily submitted the request on day 14.

This is now almost 2 months ago and till today the false upgrade has not been cancelled/reversed. I am still not able to upgrade the package/contract with a new phone.

During my follow up calls with Vodacom since, I have not been informed of any changes to this status. Not one!

I have however been told that my Vodacom client status will be affected because of my cancellation request. Yes, can you believe it!! Vodacom ******* me, **** to me and misled me, I caught them in this act and now I am told that my 10/10 rating will be affected because I requested a cancellation that they **********ly performed.

This is shocking, since I have been a Vodacom customer for at least 20 years.

My Vodacom rating at this stage is 0 ot of 10!
