Vodacom - misinformed/missled/dishonesty/*******ion
Hi In November 2021 I decided to do premature cancelations on 4 of my contracts with vodacom, the biggest mistake I couldve ever made!!! Quotations were sent through to my email an agent called me shortly after to confirm. On the 13th of November I decided to accept the quotations. So I went to the nearest Vodacom shop. Before any payments were made I called Vodacom cancelation department and spoke to Pindi and asked very clearly is this the final amounts and will I ever be billed again for these numbers I was assured by an agent "No mam, the amounts you see on the quotes are the final amounts you need to pay" again I asked are you sure that I will not be billed later on, I was told no. I went ahead n made payments. On the 14th of November from the very same Vodacom shop together we mailed the proof of payments to Early cancelation department. From the 15th of November I've called everyday asking has it been received, by when will my contracts be canceled I'm afraid to be billed for the month of November as I've already paid it up. I was assured again no all is well. On the 20th I still did not receive any news I called in spoke to the escalations manager named Mxolisi Khumalo. I made note of every consultant I spoke to, time and the date. The escalations manager Mxolisi in the cancelation department is the most painful and draining experience I have ever had with vodacom. He is *********** and lies straight out about calling you back. When you do get hold of him he tells you to wait for BACK OFFICE, so I asked if I could perhaps communicate directly with them I was told no! Like they a highly top class department no one is allowed to know their contact details or where abouts and you can never get in touch with them. So in other words you have to sit back n hope that back office decides to do their work on time. Eventually just before December I received sms's that the numbers were finally canceled and converted to prepaid. On the 22nd of November I called billings department to confirm the amount that will be debited I was told a R932 needs to be added to that November bill as it was not added in the quotations amount. I being so naive agreed to the amount being debited. So 1st week in December 2021 comes around. And what a surprise !!!!! I'm sms'd from Vodacom stating my account in now in Arrears of R6, 043. And that I should make an immediate payment to avoid my lines being cut. I call back in and im told oh you owe us that amount for the 4 numbers u cancelled but I confirmed with numerous agents before payment the cancelation amounts that were stated on my quotes. I asked for my recordings. So why now do I owe the money? I call again n again every day till an sms of +-R12k will be debited from my account on the 28th of December. I decided to call billings department on the 14th of December at 8.30 am and request a removal of the debit order from my account as im busy with a dispute from cancelation department and I do receive the confirmation via sms stating its removed. On the 18th of December I get a notification from my banking app that Vodacom tried to debit from my account the R12k that they so claim I owe them. I called cancelations department again and by now I'm livid to a point where I don't want to hear any nonsense that they so comfortable in telling to us. No joy from that call I ask for the complaints department unfortunately Vodacom could not give me that info as they don't have one. A lady from retentions department Katelyn Wolfrid calls me and I have her name she assures me that she has listened to my call recordings and I'm not at fault. They busy investigating the whole situation I give them time. No one wants to take accountability for the mess they have caused. The lady calls me back the next day and says they still busy she needs about 1 week I say no problem but please also be advised that I have to pay my December bill for my other numbers that are currently in use. She advised me not to pay until the R6043 is removed as the payment will go towards the so called arrears amount instead of my December bill, I agree and wait. And what do you know. I'm currently sitting with a bill of R16721!!!!! For what and how?????? Today is the 8th January 2022 I was told I signed documents agreeing to the fees of R6043. So I asked please forward those document I signed cause I clearly have no memory of this documents. I have been with vodacom for over 15 years and this is the **** they do. No one has ever told me about after fees and after billing. Had I known that I would have NEVER DONE THIS EARLY CANCELATION!!! No one is willing to help me. I just received an sms to make an immediate payment of R12k in order to keep my lines open.On the 4th January 2022 I spoke to a lady by the name of Ayanda Mkize from the billings department she did her research and found out that I was billed late for the premature cancelation, so back office did not send the proof of payment in time to billings department. She tried to help n escalated the matter further but I was still told to pay the R6043. I need help as Vodacom is the most useless people I've ever come across. I don't owe any R6043 as per my quotations and my calls with cancelation agents. No1 is willing to help or admit they messed up big time. There is no way in hell I'm paying a 12k. I requested my call recordings and nothing has come through from December. Vodacom and their staff have a dishonesty behavior amongst themselves in misleading their clients for the desire of obtaining extra financial compensation. This behavior seems to be an on going issue and now my only resort in getting this issue sorted out was to turn to social media. This ********* behavior has caused tremendous stress as these contract numbers we use is not only personal but business related. Your bank accounts are clearly not safe even after no debits are allowed as Vodacom debits with different references which makes it difficult for the banks to put a complete hold on. So in other words I have to now change my bank account which I had for 25 years because Vodacom is ******** to the issues they have caused.
