Vodacom MBD Harassment
For the past 2 weeks I have been receiving SMS's as well as phone calls from a company called MBD (apparently a collection agency). Apparently my Vodacom account has been handed over to them for collection of arrears. At first I was very suspicious because my account is collected via debit order and has been for the past 15 years or so. This is also a business account with Vodacom so I thought I would have been contacted about any money due.
I went straight to a Vodacom store and we looked into my account only to find all has been paid up and the account is in perfect standing order (no surprises). However every single day I get a rude phone call as well as an SMS saying 'Pay your debt by tomorrow. Contact MBD' and the call centre agent telling me after I explain the account is paid etc. " Listen to me, I will call you every day until you pay the account I dont care,".
Why are we, the customers, at the bottom of the pile Vodacom? Its up to you guys to make this stop if it is your legal department handing over accounts to these guys. Do some investigation please and find out whats happening there as Im not the only person going through this! I will attach the so called Account number on the MBD messages to this review.
I would appreciate a full investigation and urgent feedback. Not sure how else to get to you guys but consumers need to be protected, maybe the business account needs to change to another provider after 15 long years. Your move Vodacom.
