Vodacom & Makro - incorrect information re upgrade

Ref 1- ********** 3431 Logged 8 Jan 2018 with Vodacom. Contract was due for upgrade. Did it in Dec 2017 in Makro Woodmead. Specifically asked the Vodacom sales person if my add ons will remain (ie paying R49/mnth for 1 GIG data). Was advised nothing will change even though I am changing my contract. Guess what... lost the add ons and Vodacom have told me that the Vodacom sales person at Makro should have advised me that I would lose this. I have sent Makro an email on 19 Jan after complaining on their website and not receiving any feedback. Received a call from a Woodmead employee stating he will liaise with Vodacom and revert. To date nothing from either Vodacom or Makro.

I received an email back stating .."Please note that that the R49 (for 1GB) service is not available for Top-Up packages. In addition to this it was activated in July 2014 and should have only been valid for 24 months." My issue is that the Vodacom sales person DID NOT tell me that when I changed my contract. In fact, they said nothing will change. As to when it was activated and how long it should have been valid...not my concern. Your sales representatives INCORRECTLY informed me that I would still receive the benefit. Now you abdicate responsibility. PATHETIC
