Vodacom makes upgrade difficult

I have had two contracts with Vodacom since the 1990's - I use the one and my son uses the other. Every time he needs to upgrade he either goes in to the Vodacom shop or, recently, online and I authorize it. Last time he upgraded I had to authorize it and the phone was delivered to him at his office. Today he upgraded again online and I was contacted for authorization which I gave. However, this time I was told that the phone had to be delivered to me personally, it couldn't be delivered to him. This means that either I have to drive from the Free State to Gauteng (an hours travel time) to take it to him or he has to come here, or I have to pay a courier to deliver it to him. I understand that there is a problem with ***** but if it's ok for me to identify myself on the phone and authorize the upgrade why can't I authorize the delivery to him as on previous occasions? I am not happy about this!
