Vodacom LTE Failure
I live in Sezela on KZN south coast. After having Telkom mast go down every time there is loadshedding, I decided to get an MTN LTE SIM, only to find that the same thing happened on MTN mast. Lastly I tried a Vodacom LTE SIM and thought I had found the solution. However now having lengthy periods of no data, and mast offline every time there is load shedding. Thus happens immediately Eskom fails. So after signing an LTE contract with Vodacom, I am back where I started. Vodacom is no better than any other network in their quality of service

Vodacom is aware that many customers around the country will be experiencing issues connecting to the network because of Load shedding that is currently in place. Our towers do use batteries as a back up but these do have limited power and will eventually fail. We have put proactive measures in place to help mitigate the effects of widespread load shedding. For instance, we have deployed generators at numerous sites across the country and are working as hard as possible to keep customers connected. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience - normal service will resume once load shedding runs its course.
Kind regards
