Vodacom Loading, and Debiting for, Unsolicited Data

A contract which is usually loaded with 2 GB, on a monthly basis, suddenly has 10 GB for the month. As expected, the amount which was debited from the account corresponds with this increase in data made available. This, all without the consent of the account holder — a pensioner, might i add.

It is absolute tommyrot, utter and complete bull, that upon contacting the service provider, the SP claimed that they cannot reverse the funds debited because the data has partially been used. Furthermore, the SP claimed that this is usually done when people want to boost their numbers for performance appraisals.

Evidently, they know about this and claim that nothing can be done. Of course, because it generates revenue nonetheless.

Surely, reversing the funds and making the already available data valid for the length that-that data would've been loaded makes it easier for the client. Vodacom, "Power to You" ea go nkga, should be providing solutions to their clients instead of telling them what they can't do. The words to describe my level of aggravation don't exist. I'm sickened that they do this to contract clients, and even more disgusted that in this instance it's a pensioner.

How many more are there? Nx! Le tlwaela batho masepa!
