Vodacom Live/WASP?

I checked my bill of last month and the current month and noticed that my bill is higher than usual. I called 082111 from the land line since the number I am referring to is a data package and therefore the SIM is in a Modem deivice. First of all, I had to speak to two consultants and they were very helpful. However, their answers not so much. The problem is that they say that the reason for the higher bill is that I am subscribed to some whatever content. What content am I asking? How can I subcribe to something I don't know about in the first place or need for that matter. I am not a teenager nor a young adult that need stupid silly content nonsense to survive in the modern world. Secondly, how can I subcribe to something from my modem device, I don't use it for calls, only to access the internet when I am not at the office or home. And thirdly, I want to know to what I subscribed to, when and how? If you can't tell me then how must I know.

Your helpful consultants suggested that I take the SIM, enter it in a mobile device and SMS STOP ALL to 31050, which I did. A message came back that informed me that there is no content that I subscribed to. So, once again, to what content did I subscribe to, my dear Vodacom.

Now, can I please request or demand for that matter that any unauthorised content subscriptions or what ever you may call it be stopped/canselled immediatly. Then, can you please investigate/explain where the subcription came from, when, who is the beneficiary and how did this occur, because I don't have a clue. Also why does the content show under Vodacom Live in my bill? Maybe you should (must) specify on our bills what content subscription it is (beneficiary), when it occured and the amounts involved.

If I do not get a satisfactory answer/explaination very soon I will have no choice to further my issue to ICASA:

Some of functions of ICASA include the following:

To license broadcasters, signal distributors, providers of telecommunication services and postal services;
To make regulations;
To impose license conditions;
To plan, assign, control, enforce and manage the frequency spectrum;
To ensure international and regional co-operation;
To consult with Ministry of Communications;
To give effect to the EC Act of 2005; and
Ultimately decide on complaints.

The fact that VODACOM can not tell me anything of this nonsence WASP stuff is a clear violation of my rights including the right to information, especially when it comes to my money spent on something I don't know anything about. Also their is no protection of my private information if anybody can access my numbers and put unauthorised subscriptions on my account.

Please get back to me on this.
