Vodacom Likeminds ****

According to Business Tech SA:” Vodacom Group on Monday (11 May) reported a 4.8% rise in revenue for the year ended March 2020, to R90.75 billion” How do they do it? In Jan 2021 I opened a business account with Vodacom. In October 2021 the account increased by 20%. A salesperson contacted me prior to this, saying she was from Vodacom, (She was actually from a contracted company called Likeminds) and that my current services for my handsets were discontinued (not the truth) and that she had to upgrade me. What I saw as great service was in fact a **** by Vodacom and Likeminds to increase their revenue. Vodacom boasts a client base of 116 million. If they do this to 50% of their clients, they are looking at a revenue increase of R54 billion per annum. To rectify the 20% increase, I now have to pay a fine of a R1000 to reset my account to the way it was before the unauthorized adjustment. If 50% of their customer base has to do this that will be a further increase in revenue of 54,5 million customers multip**** by R1000? You do the maths. In our area we have constant outages and very poor signal strength on average due to insufficient coverage. If they are not developing their infrastructure with this enormous revenue, what are they spending it on? This is a very short sighted business model. The reason I am writing this is not to invoke a response from these pirates, but so that people are aware of their schemes. Do not submit telephonically to their sales traps, or you will be held responsible for the carnage to follow.
