Vodacom life policy of extreme incompetence

Vodacom Life policy incompetence level 100

Hi - My name is Phumi Makhanya. I issued a life policy claim for my late mother's policy on behalf of my father, the main beneficiary. The process for this claim has been quote arduous spanning over 18 months. In October 2019 the claim was approved and Patricia, the Vodacom consultant I'd been working with, assured me that payment for the correct amount would be paid to all beneficiaries within 7-14 working days. Initially the claim had been approved for half of what mother's policy document had mentioned so i was no phased when 14 days passed without payment as i assumed they're rectifying their error. Over a month has since passed and when i followed up on the payment Patricia told me she'd handed the payment process over to Vodacom and had no way of telling me firstly, why the claim hadn't been paid, when it would be paid and where the payment process is. She asked me to sit tight and wait for a call which will come any time during the course of this week from Vodacom.

I'm quite disappointed at the lacklustre service i've received throughout this claim. Granted some delays are inevitable but this particular one feels like incompetence. Needless to say Vodacom hasn't made payment for the claim that was approved over a month ago, they dont know when they'll be making payment, there's noone I can contact. Oh and Patricia isn't actually a vodacom employee so there's that. I don't suppose this claim has been processed. I also don't suggest a life policy with Vodacom if you don't have the patience required to make phonecalls upon follow-up phonecalls that lead to "sit tight", "hang 10" "someone from Vodacom will be in touch" closings and waiting for a phonecalls that never come.
