Vodacom lies

I took out a new cell phone contract for my daughter who is a student. Not realising what an '"open line" contract is we duly signed up for a contract that came within her budget. Within the first couple of months her monthly debit started to climb. Because the debit order is grouped with mine, we were initially unaware of the added cost. After realising the increase we went into a Vodacom branch to enquire as to the higher monthly debits, they seemed unable to access the billing and said we must be call customer care. Recommended we change our contract. Seemed strange but we started calling customer care only to be explained on the third phone call that it was out of bundle charges. It took a few calls as well as a request for itemised billing, but finally we were told we could block her going over her monthly allocation. We immediately did this. I called again the next day to confirm there was a block on data, calls and sms. This was confirmed. Vodacom back office then called me and agreed to a credit to the account of R200. Now 6 weeks later her invoice is again high with no sign of the credit. I again called Vodacom Customer Care only to be told there is NO block on her contract, she has again gone over her allocation without any SMS notification from vodacom (which apparently there is supposed to be but Vodacom cant find record of this) and no sign or note on any credit. It is impossible to get a straight answer and not recommended that you believe what Customer Care tells you. No way to escalate and no way to speak to a manager. every time you call you have to explain from the beginning and every time you get reassurances it has been fixed when in fact it has not. I have asked Vodacom to listen to my call recordings at the end of May to confirm I was told it had been blocked, but I was told the requested recording would be sent to my nearest branch in 7 to 14 days. What does this help? I know what was said its Vodacom that needs to sort out the untrue promises and reassurances made to clients. They need to hear what there service consultants said, why must I always take my time and spend my money to prove they are in the wrong??
