Vodacom *****

I called in to Vodacom to cancel my son's contract as MTN was offering a better deal with the phone that my son wanted. The consultant that I spoke to was Zwandile. He told me he could give me a good deal also, he said for R279 per month he will give me a P30lite, R175 airtime and he will throw in 5gigs for free. I was happy with that, so I told him to go ahead. I repeated back to him what he promised to confirm it. I also asked him if there was anything I could do about my another contract under my name that I upgraded in January for my other kid. I did not take a device with that upgrade and I asked if there was anything I could do about a device now. Zwandile spoke to his supervisor, came back on the phone and told me the following, he said I can get a P30lite, and that I would have to go to a Vodacom store and pay R2479, thereafter I must order my device. He also said that my subscription fee will no longer be R129, but it will go up to R175. A few days later, my P30lite for my June contract arrived. When I received my first bill, I seen that they were charging me about R300 for the 5 gigs that I was supposed to get for free. I spent hours and hours on the phone with consultants who were not even logging my query and I spoke to a supervisor who told me that Zwandile must sort it out. He said that he is sending Zwandile and his supervisor an email. I told him they will not respond, he insisted they will, I asked him to call me back in a few days to see if they called and he was basically not interested. I spent hours trying to sort that out with no luck. In the meantime though, I was still getting the R2479 together for the other device as my son did need a phone at this point, so I only managed to pay that in August, 2 months later. After I paid the money in at the store, they told me they can't order my device, I need to do it online. When I call customer care, they all told me that it can't be done and no one seemed to know how I should get my device. After spending hours trying to get the device or my money back, I was told that the R2479 I paid was an upfront payment towards my June contract device which I received almost 2 months prior to making this payment. I asked, If that were the case, how can I receive the device without paying the upfront payment. Why did I have the device for for 2 months without the payment. They insisted that was what the payment was for. Some of my invoices show that I'm paying a device fee, then all of a sudden there is no device fee on my new invoices. Now they have dropped all my subscription fees to justify that so called upfront payment and have taken away what I was promised. . Hope from head office said she will listen to the recordings, but I have not heard from her since. I asked if I could get the recordings, but apparently it's not accessible to me. I don't mind that they **** about me getting a device and stole my money, but at least give me what you promised. I was promised a P30lite, R175 airtime and 5 gigs for R279 per month. Please can someone help me resolve this mess. Sandra ***
