Vodacom lacks quality control: 2

This is the 2nd time I am writing this review as Vodacom have still failed to assist me as a customer: For the last 2 years, I have been receiving my husband's SMS notifications for his Vodacom mobile contract to my mobile phone. I have not authorized this function ever. He decided not to renew his contract in November 2018 and hence moved over to prepaid. I am still receiving his notifications for when his data bundles and airtime balances are low. Also for when he fails to purchase airtime successfully. This is of no benefit to him, nor to myself. Both he and I have on seperate occassions notified Vodacom to cancel this setting, since December 2018. We have made numerous calls and are told continuously that we must call back if the settings have not been rectified. I queried this and was told that they have mo way of knowing if this is rectified so I need to report it each time. To add to that, we are given lead times as to how long the matter will be resolved each time it is escalated to a different technician. Only to receive a confirmation SMS that the matter has been resolved and that we need to re-start our mobile devices for the settings to be effective. This is a cycle of never-ending problems as I am still receiving his SMS notifications. Of what use is the reference number I receive each time, when a new one is just quoted and the process starts from the beginning with each complaint raised from our side. How many more minutes do I need to spend on the phone with Vodacom, listening to their voice prompts, being placed on hold, etc, when they are proving to be ***********. There is clearly a lack of quality control as I need to confirm if the matter has been resolved and they clearly don't understand customer service. Very disappointing. I am told each time that the settings are reflecting as correct on their side. Clearly the technicians that require 5-7 working days to rectify this situation are indeed rushing. The matter is resolved within 2 working days, the case clearly closed from their side and not a courtesy call to confirm that, after they have sent the confirmation SMS, I might still be experiencing problems. Poor service indeed.
