Vodacom knowingly sells products which break

Vodacom recommended a cellphone cover and screen protector, which I bought. Now the cover causes the protector to crack. They will only replace the protector. But the R500 cover, which they recommended, they will not replace. If you knowingly sell one thing that causes the other to break, isn't that *****?
