Vodacom just don't give a S%&T

On upgrading my contract in March of this year, a ********** account was opened under my name at the Fourways Mall branch. I discovered the ********** account on receiving a bill with an outstanding amount due (which has never happened before as Im on a debit order system with Vodacom and have been for close on 2 decades).

In April, I called Vodacom customer care for what was the beginning of a saga of futility that has been going on for 3 and half months now.

I was told to make a statement at the local police station and email the affadivit with my ID to the ***** department which I duly did and received absolute no confirmation from anybody that it was received or was being dealt with.

At this stage my legitimate cell number was blocked from making calls and my caller identity disappeared. (Both of these problems are still ongoing at the time I type this)

Two more months of being given the run around by service consultants with the ever laughable promise of "We have logged your service request and you will be contacted in 24 hours"....What a joke. Not sure what clock Vodacom service reps are using but it may be broken. Of the 10 or so calls I made, I am yet to hear from anyone at all.

I finally got through to a service consultant in the ***** department who informed me that there was a credit on my account which will be deducted from my subsequent monthly bill. Was this meant to be a admission that the ********** account had been recognised and dealt with?..Who knows, the service rep didnt know either.

Although the credit was issued (which is suspiciously low considering my boosted bills for April & May, I still cannot make calls on my legitimate contract and I still have no Caller Identity.

I called Vodacom two days ago biting my tongue to not tell them what a useless organisation they have become as I believe diplomacy wins favour far more than aggression. Although I explained my entire saga to a service consultant yet again, I was treated with boredom and disdain and told "A Service request has been issued and you can expect a call within 24 hours!".....Whatever....

Guess what?..Its been 48 hours and not a peep.....as I expected.

Hello Peter is now a step I need to take because it seems that Vodacom need to be shamed in order for anyone to care about the plight of a loyal customer who has spent half his life using their services.

Vodacom: This is simply the worst Ive ever been treated by any organisation in my life. Your staff simply dont care and your consistent broken promises are evidence that my loyalty to you has been misplaced.

You can bet your bottom dollar that as soon as I possibly can, I will be moving over to another service provider who will perhaps treat me as a valued client and not an irritating number to be ignored.

Disappointed and fed up,

Maurizio corrado

.
